The Friends hold a book sale the second Saturday of every month at the Twinsburg Public Library. Sale hours are 10:00 am. - 4:00 pm. Set up begins the day before (Friday) from 9:30 am. until completed or 5:30 pm. at the latest. All types of books (hardback and paperback), CD's, videos, books-on-tape, how- to's, Reference, and some text books are sold. Magazines and periodicals are usually given as "free" items.

Donations may be dropped off during library hours. All donations are tax deductible.  The Friends ask that donations be made only during library hours.  Due to weather conditions, Friends ask that you not leave book donations outside of the building while library is closed.

Membership Drive

September is our annual membership drive month. Our membership is currently at 370 members. We accept new members all year long, but in September, we do a special mailing to residents in our area that are not members. Dues are due yearly from date of joining. Membership forms are available online or in the library.

Annual Dues are:

Individual Membership: $5.00

Family Membership: $10.00

Sustaining Membership: $25.00

Business Membership: $50.00

At this time, the Membership Committee is working on corporate sponsors that we feel that would be assets to our organization.
Other Activities

2006 Friends' donations to the Library

The Friends of Twinsburg Public Library again donated $15,000 to the Library in 2006.

Over $8,660 was used for program speakers and supplies.

$1,000 went to provide subscriptions to the New York Times, The Economist and Investors Business Daily.

$1200 was used to spruce up the Youth Services Department with a new revolving display, Dewey Decimal Fun and Hands Around the World carpets, slat wall shelving for DVDs and a bulletin board for Teen Crossings.

Remaining funds were set aside for 2007 programs.

Remembrances and Memorials

Would you like to honor the memory of a deceased family member or friend?  Donate money or gifts to the Friends and honor the memory of those special individuals who are no longer with us.  The rewards of a good gesture can last a lifetime.  Remembering the living can also be rewarding.

Special occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays or retirements, just to mention a few, can be acknowledged by a donation of money or a gift to the Friends.  What better way to give than by purchasing a book in honor of a friend or relative?  Even donating money for the purchase of books or other items is appropriate.  Your gift can serve as a tax deduction.  Anyone interested in giving a gift or making a donation to the Friends, please contact Mary Lou Sheller, Treasurer, 330-425-4517.
