What is Computer Coach?
A one-on-one (or two) training session that covers a specific technology topic of interest (such as setting up an email account). This service is intended for all levels of users who need to get more comfortable with specific computer topics (e.g. creating a Facebook account).
Does it cost anything?
Computer Coaching is a free service.
How long are Computer Coach Sessions?
30 minutes to an hour.
What times do you usually have coaching sessions?
Monday-Friday at various times. Coaching Sessions are limited and scheduled in advance. Please call 330-425-4268 ext. 4 to schedule a session.
We offer Walk-in Sessions every Friday from 3:00- 5:00pm (unless noted otherwise). Walk in coaching sessions are first come, first serve. You may not arrive more than 10 minutes before 3:00 on Friday for a coach.
Who are the Computer Coaches?
Library staff with the knowledge or experience on a particular topic.
Do I need a library card to sign up for a session?
What if I need to cancel?
Please call and cancel at least 24 hours in advance. If you do not call and cancel, your session will be labeled as a “No Show.”
2 “No Show” sessions will result in a suspension of Computer Coaching privileges for 6 months.
Sample Topics we will coach:
- NEW: Geneaolgy is now available!
- Microsoft Office 2010: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Internet skills
- Library databases; finding articles
- Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+
- Downloading eBooks or Audiobooks
- How to use tablets and smartphones: Nook, Kindle, iPad, and Android-based devices
- Windows 8

Topics we will NOT coach:
- Crystal Reports
- Adobe Photoshop
- Specialized, job-related software

The Library offers a limited list of coaching topics. Topics are limited by software the Library has access to and staff knowledge. We reserve the right to deny a coach request based on these and other criteria.
