GED & ESOL

GED Class

Take the GED preparation class provided by Project Learn to obtain your GED! This class introduces and prepares students for the skills needed to pass the Reading, Writing, Math, Science and Social Study test of the GED exam.  Students can also elect to take the official GED Practice Test to determine their skill levels.

Class meets every Tuesday and Thursday, starting September 15 to June 24 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:45 p.m.  All students must register to take the practice test and attend a 3-day orientation prior to attending.

The Practice Test takes place every-other Saturday within the Akron-Summit County Public Library at Project Learn's office from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The 3-day orientation for the class is held the first Monday of each month for 3 separate days (Monday/Wednesday/Monday) at Stow High School (3227 Graham Rd., Stow, OH 44224) or can attend at Akron that offers it 3 times a month every Tuesday/Thursday/Tuesday. The initial registration period begins on the 15th of every month.  If it falls on a weekend, then the sign-ups would start that following Monday.  Due to the high demand and current budget cuts, it is recommended that interested candidates sign up as early as possible to begin the program.

To register, please contact the Computer Lab at 330-425-4268 ext.4 or learn more about this class or contact Project Learn directly at: 330-434-9461.
