War and Remembrance series - Saturday, November 15th, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Dr. Vincent Branca is a Vietnam War veteran. Drafted in October 1970 after graduating from U.C.L.A., he went to Warrant Officer flight school, was commissioned as a warrant officer, and served as an assault helicopter pilot in the 120th Aviation Company. He was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and Distinguished Flying Cross.

Veterans Recognition Ceremony - Saturday, November 15th, 12:30 - 2:00 PM

Join the Library in honoring local veterans or widows/widowers of veterans at a special pinning ceremony courtesy of the Hospice of the Western Reserve and the state of Ohio.

Matters of the Heart - Creating Legacy - Tuesday, November 18th, 6:30 - 8:00 PM

One of the most valuable gifts we can give to our loved ones is the treasure of our memories, stories, values, and traditions. Diane Hartt, Communications Specialist from Western Reserve Hospice, will share ways in which you can honor your life's journey. 

Morning Q&A Classes: Your Devices! 

During the months of November and December, you can come in for some special Q&A classes. Did you have questions about your Apple device? Windows 8? Android smartphones? Come in on select Fridays and ask your Computer Services experts what's what with technology. Registration is requested; all computer classes are free to attend. Each class is on a Friday from 10:30 am - 11:30 am.

Board of Trustees of the Twinsburg Public Library

The Board of Trustees of the Twinsburg Public Library is accepting applications for a potential open Board position commencing January 1, 2015-December 2018.  This is to complete the final four years of an unexpired term.  Service on the Board of Trustees is voluntary and without compensation. The Trustees are appointed by the Twinsburg City School District Board of Education upon recommendation by the Library's Board. Trustees serve a 7 year term, or less, if completing an unexpired term.

Trustee application forms and a job description can be obtained at the Circulation Desk of the Twinsburg Public Library or by visiting www.twinsburglibrary.org/board. Completed applications are due at the Library by closing hours on Monday, November 3, 2014.
