Department
Children Services
The Twinsburg Public Library seeks a part-time Children Services Associate to provide excellent customer service to our valued patrons. Essential duties include answering reference and reader's advisory questions at the children's desk, signing patrons up for events and programs, and checking out materials to patrons. The successful candidate will develop and carry out activities for children ages 0-11, including regularly scheduled story times, and promote the Library's collection via displays and collection management. Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic, motivated, and willing to work as part of a dynamic team.

This position is scheduled for 20-24 hours per week and requires a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Hourly rate is $15-16 based on experience.

Adult Learning and Information Services

The Twinsburg Public Library seeks an enthusiastic, personable individual for the position of Adult Learning & Information Services (ALIS) Librarian to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate for this position will work at the Reference Desk, teach patrons to use technology, select audiovisual materials for the collection, and plan programs for adults. This role also involves working with community organizations to provide outreach services.

Status: Full-time, 37.5 hours a week. Two evenings per week and rotating weekends required.

Salary: Salary begins at $19/hr. and is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications: Master's degree in Library and Information Science or MLS. Previous library or customer service experience preferred.

Required Knowledge: Knowledge of and familiarity with audiovisual materials, high interest areas, and current trends in popular culture. Understands and implements basic principles and procedures of project management and adult programming.

Required Skills: Facility with technology, including use of digital collections; databases; Library web catalog; social media; Microsoft products. Ability to tactfully and comfortably communicate with public and staff.
